Apple AirPods Max – Starlight
The Max are made of aluminum and stainless steel, which feel more luxurious than plastic but weigh 385 g, 130 g more than most rivals.
The weight is mainly in the earmuffs, not in the headband, making them well balanced on the head. Tilt the head forward or backward and the earmuffs will move slightly, but the mesh headband will remain in place.
The ear cushions are made of memory foam covered with a woven fabric and do not make my ears sweat like some rivals do.
The Max has active noise cancellation, which uses microphones to detect unwanted incoming sound and produces an anti-noise to cancel it before it touches the eardrum.
The battery lasts approximately 20 hours with noise cancellation enabled or longer without it.
